Fifth Annual Friends of Pond Spring and the Gen. Joe Wheeler Home Picnic (2000)

Each Spring, the Friends of The Wheeler Plantation holds it's member's picnic.  A support organization for The Wheeler Plantation, the Friends' 250 members provide assistance through donations, special projects, and events support at the Plantation.

This was the Fifth such annual gathering.   Although member turnout was lower than hoped, positive news was the rule of the day.  Membership in the organization remains strong, and continued strength in State interest regarding the historical site continues to support hopes for the future.
