7 ft bronze statue of Joseph Wheeler by Berthold Nebel. This statue, located within Statuary Hall inside the United States Capitol, was donated by the State of Alabama in 1925. Joseph Wheeler was one of two Alabamians chosen to be represented here.

Photograph of Lt. Joseph Wheeler, Jr. (Gen. Wheeler's eldest son) made around the time of the Spanish-American War. The photograph was probably taken in the vicinity of Tampa, FL prior to the Cuban expedition.
Thomas Wheeler (Gen. Wheeler's youngest son) in his Midshipman's uniform while attending The United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland. Photograph was taken before Tom left for Cuba during the Spanish-American War. Following the Cuban expedition, Thomas drowned near Montauk Point, Long Island.
