1830's Log Barn at Pond Spring; Photograph taken May, 2000

East elevation, log barn at Pond Spring, stabilization project, October 2000. AHC staff carpenters worked throughout the fall season on several of the out-buildings (left).

Two barns exist on the property.  The newer frame barn (circa 1920s to 1930s), used at one time as stables, is situated to the south of the log barn.  Photograph depicts stabilization measures taken in October 2000 (right).  The site, and possibly portions of the structure, will serve as a location for office space and interpretive programs.
