- Thomas Harrison Wheeler
- The last-born of Joseph and Daniella Wheeler's children, as well as their youngest
son. Thomas was was enrolled as a Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy. During his
term at Annapolis, he served aboard the cruiser Columbia during the Spanish-American War.
After the conflict in Cuba, Thomas drowned while attempting to save the life of a
friend at Montauk Point, Long Island.
