West Point Graduate, Confederate Major General of Cavalry in the Army of Tennessee, U.S. Congressman, U.S. Army Major General during the Spanish-American War.
 
Miss Annie Early Wheeler
A daughter of Joseph and Daniella Wheeler.  Served with Clara Barton, Red Cross Founder, during the Spanish-American War, served as a Red Cross nurse in Europe during WWI, and became known as a benefactor of her North Alabama community in her later years.
Joseph Wheeler, Jr.
This is a compilation of a short biography written soon after the death of General Joseph Wheeler's eldest son.  Joseph, Jr. retired a colonel in the coastal artillery, having seen service during the Spanish-American War and World War I.
 
Thomas Harrison Wheeler
The last-born of Joseph and Daniella Wheeler's children, as well as their youngest son.  Thomas was was enrolled as a Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy.  During his term at Annapolis, he served aboard the cruiser Columbia during the Spanish-American War.   After the conflict in Cuba, Thomas drowned while attempting to save the life of a friend at Montauk Point, Long Island.
